When I started my photography journey about 5 years ago, I had no idea what it would become. Photography started out as a hobby. It gave me something to do on my time off from my full time job as a Records Specialist for the Tukwila Police Department. I had no idea what type of photography I wanted to pursue, but it becomes clear early on that newborns were my passion.
Babies .. the biggest blessing in this world. The innocence, the perfection … it doesn’t get much better than that. And to be able to snuggle those tiny little beings is the best part of my job!
After my daughter was born and my husband was medically retired from the Army, I resigned from my job at the Police Department and pursued photography full time.
Fast forward to February 2016, I found myself with an opportunity I couldn’t turn down! I signed a lease for my studio in downtown Puyallup and it isn’t until then, that I really felt like my journey in newborn photography started. Having my own space and not traveling to client’s homes meant stability and a professionalism that I didn’t know was missing.
I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for all of the pieces falling together with my business. I have wonderful clients and a business that allows me to stay at home with my daughter. God has truly blessed me.
And when I found out I was named one of the 19 Best Newborn Photographers in Tacoma, I was humbled and so excited! A big thanks to Expertise for honoring my work! It is truly an honor!
